Your Logo on Your Invoices, and Nobody Left Waiting

The Android app is on the Play Store. I told you it was coming twice and missed
twice, so I’ll keep this short: it’s there now. Search ApplianceOps on your phone.
Your Shop’s Name on Your Own Invoices
Ivan at Protec Appliance Repair asked a fair question: where do I put my logo? The honest answer was
that there was nowhere — your name went on as plain text and that was the end of it. That is fixed.
🎨
Upload your logoNew
Settings → Invoice & Legal → Branding. It then shows on the invoice a customer opens on their phone, on printed receipts, and on your public shop page. Upload it once and it follows your work around.
🖼
Or a full-width banner
Already have a header graphic from a van wrap or a business card? Put that up instead and switch the header style. Logo on its own, or the banner across the top — whichever looks like you.
✅
No logo? Your name is on there anyway
Most shops don’t have a logo file lying around, and you don’t need one. If you never upload anything, your shop’s name is printed at the top in plain text — on the invoice your customer opens and on the paper receipt.
🔄
Change it whenever you like
Replace or remove either at any time. Old invoices keep working exactly as they did.
Everyone Who Reached Out, on One Screen
Somebody texts asking a price. Somebody fills in your booking page at midnight. Somebody wants to
know where the technician is. Until now, if that person didn’t end up booked, they didn’t end up
anywhere — they just quietly stopped existing. There’s a screen for them now.
📞
The new Leads screenNew
Everyone who got in touch and hasn’t been booked yet, in one list — the people your AI handed over, and the ones who filled in your storefront. Each one has Call, Book it, and Mark contacted right there.
☎
Call them from your shop’s number
If you have a business line with us, the Call button rings out from that number — so the customer sees your shop on their screen, not your personal mobile. If you don’t, it just dials normally.
🌅
It tells you when you open up
Your morning briefing now carries a line for people waiting on a call back, and tapping it takes you straight to the list. You don’t have to remember to go looking.
Your AI Is Learning, and It Knows When to Hand You the Phone
Your text-back assistant has had its biggest month since it launched. I read every conversation it
has had with a real customer, checked each promise it made against what actually happened in your shop,
and fixed what I found. It answers more, it invents less, and when it can’t finish a job it now hands
that person to you instead of quietly saying “the office will call you” and leaving it there.
🏢
“The office will call you” now means somethingNew
It used to be a sentence the AI said, not a thing that happened. Now any hand-off to the office raises a lead and texts you — once per conversation, so you’re not buried. That customer lands on your Leads screen with their question attached.
🚚
“When will the tech get here?” reaches a humanNew
It answers honestly with what it actually knows, and then texts you to send them an arrival time. It will never invent one to make the conversation feel finished.
🔧
It won’t diagnose, and it won’t turn work away
No “sounds like your heating element” — your technician diagnoses, on site. If a customer asks about an install or an estimate, that comes to you to win.
🤖
Robots get silence
Automated dispatch blasts and marketing texts used to get a polite, careful reply — sometimes seven of them. Now they get nothing, and you get one lead with the message quoted, so a real dispatch never gets mangled through a homeowner conversation.
📅
It knows last month’s job isn’t an appointment
It now talks about that job in the past, where it belongs. And when it books, it books the whole job — the appliance, the work order number, the lot.
Who Is Holding the Shop’s Cash?
Across the shops using ApplianceOps there is roughly twenty thousand dollars a month of cash and
cheques moving from a technician’s pocket to the office with nothing recording the handoff. That is the
one place where “the app says one number, the drawer says another” ends with somebody accused of something.
💵
Cash & cheque turn-inNew
Your technician turns in what they collected, it’s recorded against the actual payments, and you can both see it. It’s off unless you switch it on — a one-man shop has nobody to turn cash in to, and we’re not adding a step that means nothing.
💳
Card charges now say who paid
Every card payment used to land in your Stripe dashboard as “Service payment”, so a row of them told you nothing. They now carry the customer’s name and the invoice number.
🏦
Your booking page deposit is yours to set
It was fixed at $100 no matter what your settings said. It now uses your number.
The Voicemail You Could Never Record
Every single shop had voicemail switched on. Not one had a greeting recorded — because there was
no screen anywhere that could record one. Sorry about that.
🎤
Record your own greetingNew
Settings → SMS & Comms. Your after-hours message, in your voice. Change it whenever you like — record a different one for a holiday week, then put the old one back.
🔔
Where your alerts go
You can send alerts to a separate number now, so “send every call to the AI” no longer quietly means “stop telling me about them”. And if nobody is set to be told, the screen says so instead of staying silent.
⏳
How long it rings first
The screen used to promise twenty seconds and actually do eighteen. It’s one number now, and it’s the one you set. Just make sure the AI picks up and not your shop voicemail — eighteen seconds was the sweet spot.
Android Has Landed, and Windows Has a Front Door
Everything in one place: applianceops.pro/download.
🤖
Android — on the Play StoreNew
Search ApplianceOps on your phone, or go through the download page above. Install it and your alerts start arriving properly — texts from customers, jobs landing on you.
🖥
Windows — a page that should have existed all along
The desktop app has been finished and signed for weeks and there was no link to it anywhere. Now:
applianceops.pro/windows downloads it straight away, and it keeps itself up to date after that.
🍎
iPhone, iPad and Mac — install it for the alerts
Apple will not deliver alerts to an ordinary browser tab. On iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen. On a Mac: File → Add to Dock. If you’ve ever wondered why you never hear about new texts, this is almost always why.
The Smaller Things
Most of these came from someone telling me. Keep doing that.
🍎
Picking a customer on an iPhone
On an invoice, tapping a customer’s name in the search results did nothing at all on an iPhone, while working perfectly on a PC. It was a genuine iPhone-only quirk, and it turned out to be in three places once we went looking. Thank you, Ivan — that was a real bug and it’s fixed.
📱
The invoice that hung off the screen
Part of it sat off the left edge of a phone where nothing could scroll to it, and the Send button on a call sheet sat below the bottom at large text sizes.
📊
Install visits were dragging your averages down
A delivery or install visit counted as a job on your money reports and quietly halved your average ticket. Your reports were understating you.
🕐
Your shop’s own time zone, and a password you can see
Payroll weeks follow the clock you chose in Settings → Rates & Fees, not the clock on whatever device you happen to be holding. And every password box now has an eye on it.
Suggest a feature
Nearly everything above came from a shop owner saying “it’d be better if…”. The logo on your invoices was Ivan at Protec. The four-hour arrival window was James at Connelly, because two hours wasn’t what he actually quotes. If something in your day is slower than it should be, tell me —
support@applianceops.pro, and I read every one.
$20 for Every Shop That Signs On
$20
Once they pay month one
Know another shop owner who’d like this? Tell them to put your shop’s name in when they sign up, and once they pay their first month, you get $20. No cap, no limit on how many.
