Lacy Takes the Calls You Cannot Get To
A missed call is a job somebody else got. You are under a machine, or driving, or at a kitchen table with a customer, and the phone rings. Lacy answers the calls you cannot get to. She has been taking real calls for a few weeks now and she is always learning, so tell me what you hear.
Want to hear her before you decide? Call the demo line at (813) 303-9240 and book a fake job from wherever you are — she will take it like a real one. Prefer a person on the line? We also work with My Office Help, so if you use them and are looking to move to a new CRM, they already know their way around this one.
Lacy answering, AI text-back and dispatch, with a business number included or the one your customers already call ported over. It sits beside the CRM. It is prepaid, not part of the free trial, because a phone number and AI minutes cannot be handed out for free. See it at applianceops.pro/ai-answering, or reply to the newsletter and I will switch it on for you. No number yet? Say that too and I will set your line up.
Your Books Keep Themselves Now
Finish a job, and the invoice is in QuickBooks before you have put the van in gear.
One Box Searches the Whole Shop
A name, a phone number, half an address, an invoice number, a model, a serial, a part number — the box at the top of the screen finds everything that matches as you type, across customers, jobs and parts. Ask it a question instead and the assistant answers. Customer pickers now search every customer you have, not just the first few hundred.
The Calendar Works Under a Thumb
Most of you run the day from a phone, and the calendar was built for a mouse. Three fixes from one shop’s feedback.

Need a Second Opinion on the Business?
I spent about twenty years in the trade and twenty running businesses before I built this. If you are working through pricing, a hire, a warranty company that will not pay, or whether to buy that second van, reply to the newsletter or text me at (661) 779-9091. Not a sales call, and nothing to buy — just an owner who has been where you are.
Small, and You Will Feel Every One
Each of these came from a shop telling me. Most were live within a day.
- The tablet stops eating what you typed. Reload a half-finished booking and it is still there, with a Discard button. A stray tap no longer throws away what you typed, and the address box has a “Use what I typed” for the roads the map has never heard of.
- A part on order can be edited and cancelled. Change the number, the quantity or the supplier after it is ordered, or cancel it. The part number shows as its own tag on the invoice. Marking a part ordered twice no longer orders it twice.
- The booking page asks for the model sticker. Your online booking page asks for the unit number, an email, and a photo of the model plate, so the job arrives with what the tech needs. The tag reader keeps the brand and the build date now too.
- Quick Dispatch fills the email and the unit. Paste a dispatch email or a screenshot and the email lands in the Email box and the apartment number in the Unit box, instead of tacked onto the street.
- Every payer in one list. The company dropdown on a job shows all of your warranty companies and property managers together, grouped, and picking one sets the job’s kind to match. A customer can be turned into a payer with one tap.
- Alerts that stay on. A phone that had alerts on is repaired quietly instead of asked again every morning. A push that reaches nobody texts the office instead.

$20 for Every Shop That Signs On
Know another shop owner who’d like this? Have them put your shop’s name or email in the “Were you referred?” box when they sign up. Once they pay their first month, you get $20 — no cap. They get a full month free instead of two weeks, and we waive the Business Line setup fee if they want a phone (they still cover the number itself).
Help the Next Shop Find Us
If ApplianceOps has made your week easier, a quick review is the single biggest thing you can do for us — it is how other repair shops find it. One honest line is plenty. Review us on Google, or pick whichever you already have an account on at applianceops.pro/reviews. And if something is not right, please tell me first instead.
