Three big ones are on the way: Lacy you can talk to, bookkeeping built into every plan, and real ApplianceOps apps
for Android and iPhone. And this week a pile of things got sharper, from warranty wording to return trips.
🎤 Coming
Talk to ApplianceOps Like You Talk to Your Office Manager
Lacy already answers your phone. Soon she works the office too. Hold the button and say “send the Patel job its invoice,” “move the Johnson fridge to Tuesday,” or “email the warranty letter to the Smith call.” She does the legwork, shows you what she’s about to send, and you say yes.
Emails, invoice updates, rescheduling, looking up an old customer: the desk work that eats your evening. One coworker, one name, the same Lacy on your phone line and in your office.
On AI Dispatch already? It’s included. No extra charge.
Bookkeeping, Built In — on Every Plan
Your invoices, payments, card payouts and payroll already live in ApplianceOps. We’re turning all of that into your books, and it comes with every plan at no extra cost.
📚
Your books keep themselves Coming
Every finished job, payment and card payout posts itself to the right account, categorized the way QuickBooks would do it. No exporting, and no matching one deposit to a pile of invoices by hand.
🧾
QuickBooks becomes optional Coming
If you like QuickBooks, it keeps syncing exactly like it does today. If you only pay for it to keep your books, you won’t need to.
🧑💼
Your accountant gets their own login Coming
Invite your accountant by email and they log straight into your books: reports, categories, year-end, all of it. No exporting spreadsheets, no sharing your password. And an accountant login doesn’t count as a seat, so it costs you nothing extra.
Real Apps for Android and iPhone
Not a website in a wrapper. A real app on both phones, built so a tech’s day runs from the truck.
📱
Home-screen widgets, push you can count on Coming
A widget with today’s calls, what’s coming up and parts on order. Tap to call, text or map, and the camera straight to a model tag. One of you asked for a widget like your calendar’s. That’s what started it. Your Android app updates in place, nothing to reinstall, and the web app keeps working exactly like it does today. Same login, same data. We’ll tell you the day it’s ready to try.
Sharper This Week
Small things, but you’ll feel them.

The AI text-back got tighter New
We read every AI conversation on every shop’s line, every day, and fix what we find. This week: texts from job boards and property-management systems (work-order reminders, “new job alert” blasts) no longer get an AI reply. The whole text is forwarded to your phone instead, so if it’s real work you see all of it. And replies no longer end with an extra canned line on top of a full answer.
🔧
Your own labor tiers, in the labor picker New
Add your tiers right in the labor picker you already use on each machine. No separate screen and no second dropdown: one place to set labor on a job, with your own rates in it.
🛡️
Warranty, set once per department New
Settings has one Warranty card: each department’s days and invoice wording side by side. The invoice prints your paragraph and “covered through” the right date, in one block.
🔁
Return trips print right New
Go back out on a job and every trip’s note shows up under its own machine on the original call, editable, and it all prints on the invoice. Nothing gets lost between visits.
📞
AI texts on missed calls only, if you want New
A per-shop switch: the AI only texts back callers you missed, and Lacy can open with your own line. Ask me and I’ll set it.
⭐
Review texts open real stars New
The review request your customer gets by text now opens a page of stars to tap, instead of a bare link.
📸
Tag photos on the job New
Model and serial tag photos show right on the job, with an × to remove the blurry one.
📱
Smoother on the phone New
Techs get a More menu for Help, their account and sign-out. Messages has a ← back button, and the blank lines in your replies stay put.
